Computers in the Workplace

 Hey blog readers today I choose to speak about the education industry and the ways that it may change in the future I believe that the Education industry will see major changes with the continual improvement of technology. The first big change that we may see sooner rather than later would be classroom becoming much less important in the future, we saw the transition of in class to school from home pretty quickly in the education industry during the COVID pandemic so we know this is possible. I believe that this would be a change for the good for some students and others may not strive in this environment however I think this makes education accessible for anybody with a PC, laptop, or tablet and a reliable internet connection so the good may outweigh the bad. A second change I could see being pushed even further is a focus on STEM fields continuing to dominate school curriculum with the world being more and more dependent on technology, jobs will continue to be generated in STEM fields so educators will place more importance on teaching students these fields.  This is also something that we have already seen implemented by educators today and the need for STEM jobs will likely continue to drive educators to make similar decisions. The last point that I had for the education industry is that we might see more educational use with VR technologies because it gives students the option to interact differently and also in different backgrounds or locations with the use of VR. If education stays within the classroom for the next 10 years I wouldn't be surprised to see VR used in order to allow students to take field trips across the world and technology will certainly change the education industry over the next ten years!

Newbie to Java

Hi there is Relon again here to give new users to Java a quick run through of how to get started using Java and getting comfortable by creating a simple project. I know when I started I was definitely a bit afraid to start my Java class as I haven't coded in a very long time but for any newbie starting you will want to visit the Java tutorials website  https://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/index.html  in order to download Java to your computer. Once the page is opened you will look for a box in the lower right hand portion of the webpage that should be labeled Software, in the box it should say Java Development Kit and will link you to the Java downloads page. Programming Languages

In the post this week we were tasked with making a program on the website Scratch which allows people to code basic actions, games, and can even add backgrounds or sounds. I enjoyed using the coding tool provided because it does allow you to visualize how the coding process works also it gave you the ability to make interesting products from the code that the user puts together. I’ve taken coding classes in the past so in my option it was tough to look at the coding blocks and see what I was supposed to do but this was simply because I have former experience coding in C++, C, and Java. Overcoming the difficulties with the coding was by simply taking the time to test out the coding blocks and see how they functioned which is very similar to true coding where an answer may just take creative thinking and throwing idea against the wall and checking if it sticks.
